Safari Specialist was created with hunters in mind, True hunters, the guys that are willing to get out and work for it, the ones that are willing to go home empty handed on their first trip and come back for another chance at their trophy of a lifetime.
Dalton was raised in the hunting business his whole life with his dad guiding hunts in West Texas and the Hill Country. That’s where he found he passion for the outdoors and hunting industry at an early age. This passion has taken him all across the globe in an effort to learn and experience as much as possible in the hunting world and put those experiences and knowledge to work for Safari Specialists clients. He's been guiding full time since 2010 and still has the same passion today for this business as he did as an 18 year old kid. Now 13 years in , he lives in Kerrville, Texas with his wife, Mackensie, and daughter Addax where they help run their family ranch.

I grew up on South, Texas Whitetails. By age 11 I was guiding family friends and guests. I was lucky enough to go on multiple safaris in Southern Africa. At 17 I spent my first extended period of time working as an apprentice to a professional hunter in Mozambique. There is a different level of training and professionalism with good African hunters and the best North American hunters alike. It is about a lot more than just the hunt. When not hunting or in school I spent the rest of my time pursuing sporting clays, winning championships at the state, national, and world level. A United States shooting team member, and PSCA Pro. I always knew I would end up working in the outdoors. In the last 10 years I have lead hunts for almost every species one could think of. I now reside in Laredo, Texas where I split time guiding hunts, tending to family ranches, and working with my grandfather in real estate and philanthropy. I am beyond excited and grateful to be a part of the Safari Specialists team.
There are many situations out in the field when a dog can be the difference between successfully harvesting an animal and heading home empty-handed. Our four-legged team members are just as important to our team as the guides, learn more about them below.
The old man of the group is an 11 year old jack Russell who’s by far the most laid back and easy going jack Russell you will ever see. Nosler has been by Dalton’s side ever since 2010 and has covered and track animals in every corner of the state of Texas.
Everybody’s favorite little fire ball is a 8 year old hunt terrier who personifies the saying 10ft tall and bullet proof. He’s the smallest of our tracking dogs but don’t tell him that as he will always be the first dog in to grab ahold. Ruger truly lives for his job.
Haze is a 2 year old hunt terrier, Haze is set take over for Nosler when it comes time for him to retire. He has big shoes to fill but is off to a promising start with mentors like Nosler and Ruger.
